10th Anniversary Charity Campaign

Lebara is pleased to announce that it has raised 1 Million Euros as part of its 10 Year Anniversary charity campaign. Since August 2011 one per cent from customer top-ups of 100 kr* or more in Denmark and each of Lebara’s seven other markets globally went towards the 1 Million Euros target.

The funds have been donated to child education and protection projects run by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in the following countries: Colombia, Ghana, India, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Romania and Turkey. More details on the projects can be found by clicking on the country flags below.

Ratheesan Yoganathan, CEO of Lebara Group, commented: "From the outset, our clear ambition with Lebara was to create a company that would enrich the lives of migrant communities by connecting them with family and friends back home. We take this occasion to thank our customers for their enduring support. They are the lifeblood of the company and it’s through their commitment and loyalty that we are able to give back through our charity projects."

*The top up value differed in each of Lebara’s eight markets and is detailed on each of the country websites.
