Lebara was ranked as the UK’s fourth fastest-growing private company in the Sunday Times ‘Fast Track 100 Listing’ in 2006 and was voted Best Newcomer at the Mobile Industry Awards in 2008. In 2009 Lebara was recognised as delivering the Most Innovative Service at the Mobile News Awards and was ranked as the Best Overall Enterprise at the Asian Achievers Awards. At the end of 2009 Lebara had over 2.5 million active mobile customers and recorded annual revenues of €371m. In 2010, Lebara opened in Germany and France, adding to our global network in Australia, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. Lebara has also acquired the Chippie brand and customer base in the Netherlands to strengthen our relationships with the migrant communities with friends and family in North and South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia.
