Lebara Mobile’s vision is to be the leader in providing low-cost, high quality international mobile services. The Lebara Group was founded in 2001 . Lebara was ranked as the UK’s fourth fastest-growing private company in the Sunday Times ‘Fast Track 100 Listing’ in 2006 and was voted Best Newcomer at the Mobile Industry Awards in 2008. In 2009 Lebara was recognised as delivering the Most Innovative Service at the Mobile News Awards and was ranked as the Best Overall Enterprise at the Asian Achievers Awards. This year, Lebara was awarded the Mobile News Best MVNO award, judged on brand strength, success at filling a market niche, tariff and pricing initiatives, and value-added services. At the end of 2009 Lebara had over 2.5 million active mobile customers and recorded annual revenues of €371m. In 2010, Lebara opened in Germany and France, adding to our global network in Australia, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. Lebara has also acquired the Chippie brand and customer base in the Netherlands to strengthen our relationships with the migrant communities with friends and family in North and South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia.

At the heart of Lebara, were about making closer connections. Our purpose is to stay closer to our customers so they can stay closer to their loved ones. We help our customers save money by ensuring very low cost international calls, and by delivering great value national rates. But Lebara means more than just low prices – all our services are designed to be readily accessible to our customers, easy to use, and tailored to their needs. One of the exciting things about working for us is that there is no such thing as a typical Lebara customer. We provide our services to a culturally diverse audience in an ever-increasing number of countries worldwide. This diversity is reflected in the teams that make up our workforce, and our rapid expansion means that change is ever-present in our company.

We always aim to work towards long term, sustainable partnerships with our network operators, our distributors and our customers.
